Even the sharpest chemically sharpened hook will get dull when snagged in rocks. When that happens, a few strokes on the hook hone will return the hook to nearly-new sharpness. One side has a 300 grit diamond surface while the other side has 400 grit. Convenient lanyard allows the hone to be attached to your vest or pack.
