Faux Tails consists of Faux Fox fibers and a small amount of Pearl Angel Fibers spun onto two strands of .050 stainless wire. These brushes, or as we call them, Faux Tails can be incorporated into a number of patterns.
Faux Fox is a super undulating fiber that sinks quickly but will shed water in a few false casts. The tail can be wound or palmered for full body flies and a small 3 inch strip makes a unbelievable swimming tail.
Replace zonker strips on your streamers and poppers.
Each package contains 2-18” long tails.
See the following video on how to use this material. The beginning of the video shows how Faux Tails are made. Starting at 7:19 in the video, there is a demonstration of tying the Faux Fox Fly using Faux Tails.
