ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Michael Sinclair
is a bamboo rod historian and rod restorationist. A graduate of Louisiana State University with degrees in History and Archaeology, he has found researching bamboo rods to be a perfect marriage of his two passions: fly fishing and history. And speaking of perfect marriages, Michael is fortunate that his wife of 25+ years, Sharon, a.k.a. "Shorty", shares his love of fishing and bamboo. Michael also operates the "New Divine Rods", a group rod making venture celebrating the classic fly rods made by Fred D Divine in the early 1920's. Michael enjoys restoring classic bamboo rods when time permits.

There are no trout at home in Paducah, KY, so Michael and Shorty must travel for their fishing experiences. Favorite places are Townsend, Tn, Mountain Home, Ar and anywhere in Colorado and New Mexico.
