WILLIAM FOWLER >/b< has worked in journalism and publishing since 1972, specializing in military history, current affairs and defense technology. He is the author of over 30 books covering military technology and conflicts from the 19th century to the Second Gulf War. He has reported for defense magazines around the world and broadcast frequently on historical and defense related topics on radio and television. He has served for nearly 30 years in the British Territorial Army. Patrick Sweeney grew up in the suburbs of Detroit in the United States and studied science at college. He first became interested in gunsmithing when he mended a Mk 1 Lee-Enfield rifle at college. Today he competes, teaches and trains others in the use of firearms. He has written a number of books and articles including Gunsmithing: Rifles, The Gun Digest Book of the AR-15 and Modern Law Enforcement Weapons and Tactics.
