NEW HOOKED ON FLY TYING TITLES & RECIPES

24 new titles recorded in digital widescreen High Definition format by the worlds premier fly tying program producers Jim & Kelly Watt, these programs are educational/instructional DVDs designed for all levels of fly tyers.

Chris Helm and Glenn Weisner tie an assortment of very popular flies using a wide range of different hair. Included in the hair selection are calf body hair, calf tail, moose body hair, elk hair, whitetail body hair, bull elk, cow elk, and elk mane. Chris ties the Royal Wulff, Parachute Madame "X", and Turcks Tarantula. Thread and material selection are highlighted, along with such techniques as using the correct side of a Peacock stick for the front and back of the Wulff, and tying off the parachute hackle on the wing post.

Glenn features the GR- Adult Stone Fly, Randall Kaufmanns Stimulator, and an Elk / CDC Caddis featuring the Marriott feather rolling tool. The adult stone showcases a half bullet head technique, the Stimulator involves tying with hair for tail, wing, and body stressing the importance of proportion and using high quality elk hair. The Elk/CDC pattern features a durable way of setting an elk hair wing on a small hook. Gel spun thread through out the tying of all of these patterns enabling various dubbing techniques including the split thread technique on the stone fly.
