FLY FISHING FOR BLUEWATER GAMEFISH WITH TREY COMBS
Author: Trey Combs
Publisher: ALTO VIDEO PRODUCTIONS, Jan 2006
A whole new meaning to the term extreme fly fishing! Host Trey Combs guides the viewer to some of the world's most productive saltwater fly fishing destinations fishing for tuna, wahoo, dorado (mahi mahi), marlin and more. Awesome action, step-by-step rigging instruction for each of these big saltwater species and spectacular underwater footage. DVD, 60 min.
This new production features never released footage from a bluewater trip to the Revillagigedo Islands over 100 nautical miles off the tip of Baja. 22 fly fishers, including a strong contingent of Brits, tested their skills (and equipment) aboard the 92 footF/V Shogun exploring the fish filled waters surrounding the legendary islands of Soccorro, San Benedicto and the craggy seamount Roca Partida.
The DVD format provides the perfect platform for Trey to take you from rigging your fly fishing equipment to catching bluewaters wildest gamefish. There are special menus on knot tying, successful saltwater flies and techniques to target specific species. Underwater footage shows amazing scenes of wahoo, tuna, dorado and marlin.
But the true value of this DVD lies in its action sequences. Experience the thrill of multiple stripe marlin crashing through bait balls, a school of large dorado surrounding the boat and attacking fly fishers poppers. Many times every fisherman on the boat is hooked up and fighting fish. The camera goes inshore on skiffs and records fly fishermen casting to the many inshore species which inhabit these bluewater areas.
This DVD has over 60 minutes of video content. The show is also available as a VHS tape titled FLYFISHING FOR BLUEWATER GAMEFISH.
