The DVD content begins with a brief introduction from Syl and then about 8 minutes or so of some of his personal history/anecdotes including how he got involved in fly tying & fishing the river test in WWII. This is followed by a brief "Tips & Tricks" section which isw then followed by Syl tying 10 different soft hackle patterns (with some comments on variations). There is also a brief conclusion followed by a brief outtake about stuffed monkeys.
The DVD breaks the history, tips & tricks and each individual pattern into different chapters so that the viewer may use the DVD menu to go directly to any chapter they choose. Also included via the menu are text recipes for each pattern.
