PEAK’s Large Iron Retention System (LIRS) is aimed at solving the problems faced when trying to tie on hooks with large wire diameters and long shanks, which often requires the use of heavy threads. The hardened and tempered tool steel anvil/drawbar combination accepts hook wires up to .134? in diameter.

Pedestal Model
The large stable pedestal base (JSBAS model)
included with the JS2-G2 will hold this tool where
you set it, and the non-marking feet protect the
surface you set it on. For additional stability, the
base also comes with two mounting holes that will
accept up to 5/16 inch fasteners to mount the base to
your tying bench. The steel base is powder coated
white for a surface that will last and provides a
backdrop you can see your materials against. The
base also includes an integrated hook/bead pocket
with rounded edges for ease of removal, and our 3/8"
accessory shaft mounting holes (accessory shaft not
included). The JSBAS base is designed to
accommodate the 1/2" vise riser shaft of the JS series
products, which is locked in place with a large
comfort-grip hand knob.
C-Clamp Model
The JS2-C1 is equipped with PEAK's JSCMP
C-Clamp. Like the JSBAS, the JSCMP is powder
coated steel and designed for the 1/2" vise riser shaft
of PEAK's JS series products and also allows for the
use of PEAK's 3/8" accessory shaft. Just like PEAK's
PRV product series C-Clamp, the CMP-1, the JSCMP
has rabbetted jaws that can be reversed for maximum
table thickness adjustment. The jaws ride on parallel
guide rods and do not rotate when adjusted so they
won't mark your table or "walk" when you tighten the
clamp. Wrench for tightening clamp is included, vise
riser is locked in place with a large comfort-grip hand
knob.
