Color photos allow the collector to see the normal affect of age on the finish of 89-105 year old pistols (discoloration, fine freckles & patina are visible). The first book in the series Imperial Lugers, Weimar & Early Nazi Lugers, third Reich Lugers, and Axis Pistols.
Each pistol type is shown on the left and right side and detailed enlargements are shown of the markings, acceptance stamps, and proofs. Serial number and data tables let the collector know how his pistol fits into the overall scheme of production, issue and use. Holsters are covered in illustrations and captions with over 60 rigs shown. The unit markings of over 75 pistols are illustrated and identified. Tables to identify unit markings for the Imperial German Army, Navy, and police and to identify the unit markings on Imperial Austro-Hungarian arms are included.
