ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bruce A. Hopkins, a lifelong outdoor enthusiast and freelance writer, has contributed articles to a number of periodicals including Traditional Bowhunter, The Professional Bowhunter Magazine and Full Draw. A practicing conservationist, Hopkins is employed by the Natural Resources Conservation Service and is responsible for administering numerous programs that protect, restore and enhance wetlands, stream corridors and wildlife habitat. Selected as a Congressional Fellow, Hopkins served as a staff member to the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry where he worked on a variety of natural resource conservation issues. He is a member of numerous sporting and conservation organizations including the Professional Bowhunters Society, Pope and Young Club, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ruffed Grouse Society, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and New York Bowhunters. Hopkins resides and recreates in rural central New York.
