More Information
A story about raising a Lab puppy written for five- to ten-year-olds.
This storybook for children ages five to ten explores the joys and responsibilities that come with raising a Lab puppy. Tyler is an eight-year-old boy whose family has decided to buy a new Lab puppy named Riley. They look forward to having a family pet and a duckhunting companion. But Tyler is having problems reining in his own exuberant and, at times, mischievous behavior. The arrival of the puppy only seems to make things worse. When Mom and Dad ask Tyler and his younger sister to help train the rambunctious pup, the kids learn the basics of dog training, as the pup becomes a valued family member and progresses toward becoming a little duck hunter. In the process Tyler, and his parents, learn some important lessons about raising both puppies and children.
