Kathy Etling has hunted from her native Missouri to the high country and deserts of the West. Since 1982, she has been a regular contributor to the outdoors press, including Outdoor Life, American Hunter, Missouri Conservationist, and Deer and Deer Hunting. She has authored numerous books, including Cougar Attacks and Bear Attacks. She currently lives in Osage Beach, Missouri.
