NOTES BY THE AUTHOR:
My first fly-fishing novel, Snake River Country, was published in 1987, second printing, 1992. The second fly-fishing novel, Madison River Country was printed in 1992. This printing of Saltwater Country is my third novel that completes the Trilogy, which I always envisioned.

This book is the ongoing story of Stanfield Stonebreaker a professional football player. His adventures and misadventures with women, fish, and others take him to many parts of the world in search of fish that spend all or most of their lives in salt water. Stiff and his friends catch many large fish and have their bad times and good times that are inevitable. Many have enjoyed these novels and the information and history therein. Hope you do too!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Sid Eliason
has fished the mountain west when not traveling the world for saltwater fish. Ten to twenty years ago, he had many articles appear in fly-fishing publications and travel articles in newspapers.

Sid is now retired from golf and property investing-management, spending his time improving properties, writing, wood working, needlepoint, cooking, and other hobbies.

Starting to fly-fish with linen lines, and gut leaders in the 1940s, he has seen the great improvement in tackle and the explosion of fly-fishermen and women fishermen and float-boats.

Saltwater fly-fishing has also exploded. More fly-fishermen and women are fishing in salt water. There is no limit to the extent fly-fishing in salt water will develop -- it is the new horizon of fly-fishing.

Sid lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Swan Valley, Idaho.
