The bulk of the book comprises tales of successful perch fishing trips of the 1980s, but there is also a brief history of Perch Disease, advice on choice of rigs and tackles and information on the use of fish-recorders in perch fishing.

John Bailey has had a lifetime's passion for angling & has fished for virtually every fresh-water species in over 20 countries around the world. He is the author of many books & magazine articles on fishing, travel & the natural world, and is a frequent contributor to radio & TV as broadcaster, presenter & writer.
Roger Miller is a keen fisherman & a regular contributor to the angling press. He has written & co-authored a number of books on angling for Crowood.
