ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Loren W. Christensen served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war as a military policeman in Saigon. When he returned to the States in 1972, he joined the Portland, Oregon, Police Bureau, where he worked street patrol, gang intelligence & riot control among many other duties. He retired from the force in 1997 & since then has written dozens of books, many of them for Paladin Press. He also stars in several Paladin DVDs.
Mark Mireles is a certified Arrest & Control Instructor with the Los Angeles Police Department. In his civilian life, he is a black belt instructor at Jean Jacques Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy & Big John McCarthy's Ultimate Training Center, & provides reality-based, self-defense training through Mireles Combative Systems. Among his many honors, Mireles is a two-time recipient of the Medal of Valor, the highest award for bravery given by the LAPD.
